The Monument Advisory Story
The Monument Advisory Story
In 2014 with trust of the financial advice industry at an all time low and the Perth economy facing the end of the mining boom, the time was right to establish a business focused on removing financial uncertainty from the lives of its clients.
With a committed team of staff, leading external industry consultants to challenge us and a well developed network of trusted professionals, we bring a broad range of tools and a wealth of experience to improve the lives of our clients.
The cornerstone of the advice that Monument Advisory provide, is the belief that no two client situations are to be treated the same. We fundamentally believe that the best financial advice can only be developed, when anchored to a true understanding of the outcomes clients are looking to achieve, for themselves and those closest to them.
As a source of financial truth for our clients, we focus our skills, experience, time and energies on removing financial uncertainty, worry and indecision from their lives, so that they can continually move forward. At the end of every working week we are consistently humbled by the varied client journeys we are privileged to be a part of.
Meet The Monument Advisory Team
“The best financial advice can only be developed, when anchored to a true understanding of the outcomes clients are looking to achieve for themselves and those closest to them.”
As a Director, Advisor and co-founder of Monument Advisory, Travis is responsible for the day to day management of client’s circumstance along with the operational process and direction of the firm.
With more than 14 years in the industry, Travis has seen firsthand the challenges successful business owners face throughout their journey and subsequent exit from a business. In fact, in all honest, his entire life has been based around family business. From growing up watching his Dad in his business, to helping run the financial side of the family business whilst studying at university. Travis has also spent a majority of his working life, working in family run businesses and has seen up-close the passion that drives small business owners, but also the struggles they have in reconciling the goals that the family has, with the opportunities and direction of the business. It’s why he loves working with owners of family businesses, as he sees a great opportunity to help them use their business to achieve the hopes and aspirations they have as a family.
Travis draws on his experience and his well-developed communication skills to remove uncertainty and indecision from the lives of clients of Monument Advisory and is valued for his holistic approach and ability to get you thinking about what’s really important to you.
Travis really enjoys the people he gets to meet and work with in his role. “I feel very honoured to be able to play a part in helping change someone’s financial life. I’ve met people who when they first see us, are very stressed and concerned about their financial situation. Through the work we’ve done together they are now much more optimistic about their financial future, and it is very satisfying to be able to have facilitated that change for people.”
With two young children, as much of Travis’ time as possible outside of work is spent with them. He enjoys anything outdoors with the family, including family camping trips, to picnics at the beach and taking them to the see the West Coast Eagles. One thing Travis loves to do, but doesn’t often get to given that he lives in Perth where there’s a significant lack of a key ingredient for this pastime, is to snowboard.
As a Director and co-founder of Monument Advisory, Dieter is responsible for the day to day management of clients circumstances and the measured growth of the business.
Having worked within the financial services sector for over 13 years he has amassed a diverse range of experiences working with clients at different stages of life. He has developed a network of trusted professionals accessible to clients of Monument Advisory.
“There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the flow on effects to a clients demeanour and outlook once they have implemented plans that are focused on achieving the outcomes important to themselves and their family.”
When not ensuring the measured growth of Monument Advisory Dieter is a committed father, step father and husband. Throughout the year a substantial part of family time is spent at various soccer pitches throughout Perth, as both a supporter of his son’s team and also as manager of a talented group of junior players. During the summer months family time more frequently involves visits to beach and evening bbqs around the pool.

Your ability to explain things simply and give us choice gave us so much confidence in the advice you have provided. We are excited about what the future holds, just wish we had seen a Financial Advisor years ago. Thank you again, and looking forward to continuing to work with you.”
